This Baked Amish Oatmeal recipe is a nice change from your basic bowl of cereal and oh so much more yummy! So when the Fall season arrives oatmeal always comes to mind for me as a quick easy to prepare nourishing meal for those chilly mornings. This is the perfect breakfast crumbled into a bowl with a little milk. Who needs those artificial flavorings and colorings. When cooked can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge. Just warm it up, crumble it up and eat it up! Let’s get started!
Baked Amish Oatmeal
2 cups Quick Cook Oatmeal
1/4 cup sugar (white or brown)
1 large egg
1/4 cup melted Ghee or butter
1 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup dried fruit and/or nuts
Mix all ingredients together and bake in a 8 or 9 inch square pan at 350F for 30 minutes.
I serve it with a splash of whipping cream.
