Lately I have worked on several new and somewhat different styles of Fairy Houses to sell in my Etsy shop. I decided to use a brighter palette and although it took getting use to I really love how they turned out.
Most of the Fairy Houses in my shop are OOAK but I do have a few limited Fairy houses for sell too. When I say “limited” I mean I only make no more than three and then they are retired.
I never use molds or cutters when sculpting a Fairy house. I advised years ago by a well-known artist never to start using cutters or molds or I will never stop. I will say the temptation does arise to use cutters to save a bit of time but realizing in the end when you zoom in to take a picture you can always tell a flower petal was cut using a cutter or mold. That’s just not me. I love seeing truly hand formed creations with all its imperfections.
