Sometimes in life you come to a crossroad and you have to decide what is important to you. For me it was balancing out a busy schedule with my family. I had to cut a few things out, slow my life down by making a few adjustments to make room for the important things like the health of my family and spending quality time with them. My focus and goal besides spending more time with my family- is to eat nothing but whole food and create recipes that are easy and healthy, using whole food and eliminating anything overly processed from our diets. This will be a huge change for my family of fast foodies, quick meals from a box and sugar laden snacks and drinks but I am determined. I know in the process I will feel better, save some money and improve the overall health of my family.
My plan of action is to start out by replacing some of our favorite meals by creating a whole food recipe box at home. Our number 1 offender is: Fast Food Hamburgers with a side of Fries!
Hamburgers are not complicated folks. We are not Gourmet Chiefs auditioning for a television show. Use the KISS method. Keep It Simple Silly. This hamburger with all the toppings were a hit with my family; it may or may not be with yours so tweak it to your liking. Buy the best ingredients you can afford and you will be way ahead of the Fast Food Hamburger.
